How often do you see a headline like this one? “7 injured as monks storm monastery.” It could be worse, I guess. We could have been treated to “When Monks Attack,” “Monks Gone Wild,” or other silliness.

The monks illegally occupying the Esphigmenou monastery are opposed to efforts at improving relations between the Orthodox Church and the Vatican. Because, you know, nothing good can come of Christians trying to get along with each other.

Words just fail me.
