I know this is an old post from your blog, but I thought your views on Kelsey summed it up pretty good. My own tradition is that of OCA (Orthodox Church in America) and even though ours is rich, I am all for an ecumenical approach when it comes to achieving theosis. Blessings to you for expanding your mind. In the middle of reading Kelsey's "Christianity as Psychology" at the moment. Amazingly you can pick up his used books on Amazon for quite cheap.

Hi,
I really like your essay or Morton Kelsey. I just picked up a book from my grandparents library i had gotten over ten years ago. When they moved from the ranch, they said any book left on the shelf is yours. I apparently picked up this one. The HEaling and Christianity from above. It was actually signed by him.... so i asked my dad. And it was no big deal to him, becuase they were friends. when people at church (i was too young) found out... the preists were so excited. Reveren Sumners and Larry Hall. He would come visit the family out at the ranch. Then i spoked with my grandmother. He ended up sitting on the board of my great grandfathers company. TESCOM. He was an adventurer... but wasn't very good at choosing what peg fit in the right size whole. When his son, Jack, took over he was the man for that job. He could fit people better. But to help him he would have Morton Kelsey, who alsos sat on the board of the company, help him choose employees....
I am so glad i picked this up. My dad said, oh, sure,, we know him... like saying it's four oclock in the afternoon. ha. Still reading the book. Thank you for what you wrote. maddie phillips
