I just heard of The Jesus Project on the Biblical Studies Yahoo! Group. It looks like some kind of response to the infamous Jesus Seminar, but with the lineup of fellows it boasts, I’m not sure how much consensus it is likely to reach. But of course, the point of real scholarship is not to vote on what is true, but to examine the evidence and argue one’s case. At least they get points for forswearing the Jesus Seminar sensationalism from the start.
