Seven Days to Spare!

My lecture notes for Introduction to the Old Testament are (more or less) complete and ready to be printed out. This is my first stint teaching OT intro, so I’ve been spending the past several months getting my notes in order, ironing out the syllabus, etc. To be sure, there are days for which my notes are still rather sparse, but I think I have at least one coherent thought per lecture. Following the advice of Buddy Shurden for freshman-level biblical studies courses (“find one good point and preach it for an hour”), I’m confident we’ll have a good time when the class begins next Tuesday!

If you’re interested, here is an early version of what eventually became my course syllabus. You’ll be able to see the real thing when I add the finishing touches in another day or two.
