Cecil Sherman passed away this morning in Richmond, Virginia, in the company of his family. Although I did not know him well, it was my privilege to work with him for several years on the Formations Commentary. He was a kind, wise, and thoughtful man, a courageous leader, and an exemplary pastor. He will be missed.
