This guest post at Language Log by Don Ringe has nearly everything I find fascinating to study: foreign languages, geography, and ancient history. All it really needs is a biblical studies tie-in, but I’m too tired to do anything more than link to this old post about the “Table of Nations” in Genesis 10. If I had ever blogged about the Tower of Babel, that would have been even better, but, alas, my archives are practically empty.
Or, for my Orthodox readers, something to get the Christmas season rolling along.
Here are some clips of the Mercer Children’s Choir at their recent Christmas concert at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Macon, Georgia. In the second clip from the top, you’ll see my daughter, Rebecca, and some of her friends in the Preparatory Choir (ages 7-9) singing “Infant Holy, Infant Lowly.”
The thing takes forever to load, but you’ll be glad you waited.
